Carl Medearis

Carl Medearis is the founder and president of Ends of The Earth, Inc. a non-profit missions agency with extensive ties to various Middle Eastern nations. He is also the founder and president of International Initiatives, LLC, A for-profit company that exists to promote cultural, educational and commercial exchange by networking relationships and fostering positive communication between the East and the West.

Carl Medearis has spent twenty five years in ministry, both at home in the United States, as well as in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and England. Carl spent twelve years in Beirut planting church-growth movements, occasionally lecturing at the American University in Beirut, and building a community center in downtown Beirut for university students, and played a key role in the organization Imma, (meaning “development” in Arabic).

Carl has personally formed friendships with many Middle Eastern parliamentary bodies in order to encourage prayer groups, humanitarian relief, and Christ-like leadership. Carl currently maintains a variety of personal relationships with various political personalities both at home and abroad, and plays a key role in the National Prayer Breakfast, which is held in Washington DC each year at the invitation of Congress and the President, where he invites prominent Arab leaders and businessmen to come and join 3500 other leaders to participate in the discussion of Jesus’ teachings, for several days.

Carl has held a critical position in a new translation of the Bible for Arabic leaders, and is currently distributing an Arabic publication of the bible to Parliamentary Members, Kings and Presidents in the Middle East.

Carl has recruited nearly one hundred full-time missionaries now in Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. He also formed and led the International Student Leadership Forum on Faith and Values, which convenes each spring in Washington DC in order to discuss the importance of faith in politics among potential international leaders.

Carl personally initiated a Christ-centered humanitarian effort in Iraq, before, during and after the April ’03 invasion.

Currently, Carl is a consultant with the Yale Center for Faith and Culture regarding the Middle East and the Arab world. He travels and speaks in front of an average of forty thousand people annually (2004, 2005, projected and scheduled for 2006) on issues such as evangelism, discipleship, and church planting. Churches, conferences, and universities are the main venues.

Carl holds a BA in history from CU, a degree in teaching, and is an ordained pastor with the Vineyard Christian Fellowship.

He currently lives in Colorado with his wife, Chris, and their three children.
